Biography

Eliza Lucyna Masewicz is a Polish American soprano with a passion for Baroque and Coloratura material. Based in New York City, Eliza has performed on an international level. Eliza's most recent credits include her Ars Lyrica Houston debut performing Judicum Salomonis by Carissimi and excerpts from Purcell's Fairy Queen, as well as her UK debut as Soprano Soloist in the Bach St. John Passion with London City Orchestra and Hesparos Choir in London. She is currently a Resident Artist with Classic Lyric Arts Academy pilot season in Manhattan. Eliza has appeared as Madame Herz in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor at the Verdi Theater in Busseto, and Lieder und Opern Arien concert at Christuskirche in Salzburg. Her roles include Queen of the Night, Giunone in Cavalli’s La Calisto, Madame Herz in Der Schauspieldirektor, Laetitia in Old Maid and the Thief, Clorinda in Rossini’s Cenerentola, Third Trio Member in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Shepherd in Tosca, and Peasblossom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has sung in Scenes and Partial performances as Adina in Elixir of Love, Constance in Dialogue of the Carmelites, Minerva in Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria, and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier. Eliza has participated in premier training programs like Classic Lyric Arts France, Aspen Music Festival with Grammy Nominated ensemble, Seraphic Fire, Miami Music Festival, Varna International - Bulgaria and Italy, and American Mozart Academy-Salzburg. Her budding singing career started as a child soprano with the Houston Grand Children’s Chorus in eight productions. Additional to performing, Eliza is a voice and piano instructor with WillYouLearn and Tribeca Music.
